Basic salary is £25,376 pa (£12.20 ph)
\r\nWe are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and motivated Senior Residential Worker to work in our 4 bed children's home just outside of Tiverton near junction 27.
\r\nPlease Note: You will need to hold a full UK Driving Licence and have experience working in Residential Childcare in order to be considered for this role.
\r\nAs a Senior Support Worker, you will put our children and young people at the centre of everything you do. You will be providing emotional and social support in order for them to flourish and develop. This a very important and rewarding role with children and young people at the very centre of our approach. You will be involved in supporting them in all aspects of their life, their emotional well being, and other elements of their daily life such as school attendance, activities, hobbies and any other aspirations they may wish to follow.
\r\nIt is a requirement that all our Senior Residential Support Workers hold the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent. You must hold a current driving license, be able to remain calm in difficult situations and be willing to work shifts to cover our 24 hours/ 7 day a week operation.
\r\nAs a full-time employee, you will work between 10 and 14 shifts over a 28 day period.
\r\nKey Accountabilities:
\r\n\r\n- To provide high quality, person-centred care recognising the potential of each Young Person and to promote through actions and words the achievement of that potential including working as part of a team.
\r\n- To meet the individual care and support needs of Young People using the service in a way that promotes, dignity, privacy, safety and independence.
\r\n
\r\nWhat we are looking for:
\r\n\r\n- You will, ideally, have already achieved a OCF/NVQ Level 3 or Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent or be excited and driven of the prospect of gaining a recognised qualification with full financial and practical support from us.
\r\n- You will consider yourself to me a resilient and reliable individual who is able to remain calm in situations that may be difficult and challenging
\r\n- Our young people are cared for on a 24-hour basis and you will be required to work some sleep-ins in order to support this.
