The Grange School works with pupils with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and the associated conditions, such as Communication and Interaction needs, Cognition ad Learning needs, and Social, Emotional and Behavioural needs. The Grange School provides education to and a supportive environment for 20 primary aged pupils from across Key Stage 2, with the intention of expanding into Key Stage 3 and 4 in the very near future.
\r\nThe Grange School buildings are situated within a wonderful campus that provides several educational environments within its curtilage. These facilities will enable clear transitions between each Key Stage and meaningful pathways towards improved independence and skills. Through your appointment you will have the opportunity to help shape the environment and how the school buildings are further developed to meet the needs of pupils.
\r\nThis is a unique opportunity to work within a truly therapeutic environment where our dedicated in-house integrated therapy team work seamlessly with education team members to provide meaningful packages of support that enable children and young people to reach their individual potential.
\r\nDue to this exciting development, we are looking to recruit Special Educational Needs (SEND) Teachers to join our team and to help expand our service. We are looking to speak to experienced primary and secondary teachers who can also offer a curriculum specialism. We are also seeing teachers who would be willing to lead on specific areas of the curriculum in order to help create a dynamic, meaningful, broad and balanced curriculum.
\r\nIn your role, you will be responsible for delivering pupil-centred, inspirational and meaningful education. You will have a full understanding of the statutory frameworks within which teachers work and apply this, in order to enable our students to flourish and grow.
\r\nYou will have experience of working with children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs, including those on the autistic spectrum and with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. You will have a passion for teaching and learning, with a specific focus on creating successful opportunities for our students within a nurturing environment.
\r\nWe are seeking teachers who are committed to enriching the lives of others. Therefore, you will have experience of working in a school environment, as well as possessing up to date knowledge of relevant curriculum development including a focus on current educational policy, specifically relating to Special Educational Needs.
