Job role:

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Science Teacher to join Activate Learning's Academic and Professional Studies faculty based at Guildford College.

Teaching across a range of courses and a mix of 19 plus learners and 16-19 year olds. The role will be teaching access to HE in Science (adult learners), BTEC Level 3 Health and Social Care (Science) and Level 2 transition to T-Levels in health.This post would suit a science teacher looking for a new area of development or would be an ideal development opportunity for newly qualified teacher, or science graduate looking to get into teaching. Experience in both Chemistry and Biology would be beneficial.

This is a part time role, 0.5 FTE.

\r\n

What do you need to be successful in this role?

\r\n

Successful candidates will have an appropriate professional science qualification or experience. Whilst we would prefer applications from qualified teachers who hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, we would consider applications from unqualified applicants, with the ability to inspire our learners and a willingness to complete a teaching qualification. 

In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
